• Quality care, for all.

CONTINUING THIS MISSION FOR OVER 33 YEARS

The mission of the Carole and Ronald Krist Samaritan Counseling Center (KSC) is to help those in need attain emotional, mental, and spiritual health through counseling, education, and professional training programs. We strive to serve everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, faith, or ability to pay.

  • A Calling To Work Together

The Carole & Ronald Krist Samaritan Counseling Center began its services in 1986 in Houston’s Clear Lake area, sponsored by three local churches who wanted to begin a faith-based counseling center. Since that time, the Center has evolved into a renowned training program for mental health professionals and clergy counseling training. More than 200 people have graduated from the program and serve as mental health professionals around the world.

  • A Commitment To Lead Well

In 2002, the Center relocated to their new counseling center, generously donated by the Krist family in the Krist building that formerly housed the Krist Law Firm. That year, the Center was renamed the Carole & Ronald Krist Samaritan Counseling Center in recognition of the family’s loyal and generous support.
Today the Krist Center has grown to become a significant provider of counseling services in the Greater Houston/Galveston region with eleven locations throughout the area. The Center continues to look to opportunities to expand its mental health services through partnerships with health clinics, schools and veteran services.
The Carole & Ronald Krist Samaritan Counseling Center continues to strive to be a leader in behavioral and mental health services and training throughout the community.

Our Benefactors

Carole and Ronny Krist began their life together in 1960. Throughout the years, the family has been blessed with financial success and has shared their blessings as philanthropists.
The Carole and Ronald Krist Samaritan Counseling Center’s mission has greatly benefitted from their loyal and generous support since 2001.
“Our family believes that many painful mental illnesses are not objectively visible but are nevertheless devastating.  Being invisible, these painful mental problems are sometimes overlooked by donors, and it is our hope to help fill in the gap that is sometimes otherwise overlooked. Our family has always felt an obligation to share in our good fortune and accordingly charitable, and thus, the Samaritan Center was a perfect fit”.
